We are SO excited when our customers email us pictures from their many destinations and every now and then we like to share them with others. The following is from our friends Stefan who summited not to long ago as he reached the highest point in North America!-- not to mention with nice and TOASTY feet with our famous Millet boots in which we have sold hundreds over our history with mountaineers. While here at home in Ohio it is roasting with 100% humidity, but it is nice to be reminded that in some other part of the world our customers are staying warm as well. So we would like to send a little HOORAY to all those out there climbing high and staying warm while accomplishing great feats upon great mountains.

Bubi Secrets

Bubi Bottles are here! Remember the old BPA Nalgene bottles? The ones that were indestructible? Yeah, well Bubi Bottles are your new go to bottle. They are made of silicone and can travel with you anywhere. You can use them as a hot and cold compress, a water bottle, a dry sack, ...a waste dispense bottle...., a head rest, or just as a fun toy. We are excited to be carrying this new brand and we hope it will do great things in the future... you might even see it on our online stores soon if it does well in our central Ohio locations! The fall shipment is here! It is hard to believe that we are already getting items in for Autumn 2013! It has been a good summer season, despite the constant flood warnings and humidity here in Ohio. But if you are an Ohio native, you know that the weather here can change on a dime; one second it is a nice breezy high of 90 degrees and suddenly it will drop with an overnight rain so you wake up to a little bit of frost on your morning windows. Therefore, we are ready for any and all weather here at EverestGear: hot, cold, or just in the middle. We are excited to announce that the NEW Patagonia is here for you to peruse on a hot day or over your morning cup of coffee. Just remember: There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes. So be sure to start gearing up for the upcoming wintry months.

The heat wave is moving in around the United States and specifically in our home state of Ohio. With the temperatures rising, and the humidity growing, our customers have turned to the beaches and the cooling water along the shores. Trail hikes include lots of water and even more sunscreen. On days like today with temperatures reaching into the 90s and the humidity over 52% we turn to a brand we at EverestGear just started carrying: Agua Bendita.

Renovation into Summer

The Granville location is being renovated! We are installing new shelving units and potentially redoing most of the store throughout the rest of the summer. The dust and banging, however, has not stopped us from getting you the gear that you need. Stop in and see the latest updates and cool features the store has to offer! The renovations will not stop us from getting you the perfect pack, the right climbing harness, or the summer jacket you need for your next run. The Granville store is open Monday through Saturday from 10am-7pm. Stop by, say hi, and maybe take home a nice hammock for the perfect nap in the summer sun or under the clear night sky. And as always: Happy Trails!
